SOUTHWEST TO OFFER SEASONAL DAILY SERVICE TO ST. LOUIS WITH SAME-PLANE SERVICE TO HOUSTON STARTING JULY 26

Service available through August 10 also allows connections to numerous Heartland destinations

 WARWICK, RI – July 17, 2020 – T.F. Green Airport (PVD) and the Rhode Island Airport Corporation (RIAC) are pleased to announce that Southwest Airlines® will begin offering new limited-time daily service from T.F. Green Airport (PVD) to St. Louis Lambert International Airport (STL) with continuing service available to Houston’s William P. Hobby Airport (HOU) starting on July 26, 2020 with service available through August 10, 2020.

The mid-day departures and arrivals between STL and PVD also enable travelers numerous new connecting options to additional Southwest Airlines destinations across the Heartland and Western U.S., including Dallas, Wichita, Omaha, Des Moines, San Jose, San Diego and Las Vegas.  The new flights will operate with the following schedule:

 Outbound flight WN 6871

Departure from T.F. Green (PVD)         2:00pm

Arrival at Saint Louis (STL)                  3:45pm

Departure from Saint Louis (STL)         4:40pm

Arrival at Houston Hobby (HOU)          6:50pm

 Return flight WN 6869

Departure Houston Hobby (HOU)         7:00am

Arrival at Saint Louis (STL)                  9:05am

Departure from Saint Louis (STL)         9:55am

Arrival at T.F. Green (PVD)                  1:25pm

 The new route represents a close-in, limited time opportunity to meet seasonal demand by offering nonstop service to St. Louis and connections beyond.

 T.F. Green Airport cleaning crews continue enhanced sanitizing protocols, utilizing EPA and CDC approved hospital grade disinfectants, electrostatic sprayers, and automated cleaning technology to efficiently and effectively sanitize escalator railings and other high touch areas throughout the terminal. Passengers are also being encouraged to check with individual airline policies regarding COVID-19 policies, including facemask requirements. Updated links to airline specific COVID-19 travel alerts and safety requirements, are available on T.F. Green’s website at www.PVDAirport.com.
