Thank you for visiting the Rhode Island Airport Corporation’s (RIAC) new and enhanced website for Rhode Island T. F. Green International Airport and the other state airports throughout Rhode Island!

RIAC’s primary mission, and that of Rhode Island T. F. Green International Airport, is to provide Rhode Island and Southern New England with meaningful connections to the nation and world. Thanks to each of you, and your choice to “Fly RI,” we have a bright future ahead.  Aviation activity in Rhode Island already supports nearly 20,000 jobs in our state, generating an estimated $2.65 billion in economic activity each year, and we look forward to doing our part to help grow the airport economy further in the coming years.

These efforts have already paid significant dividends, resulting in new routes and new economic opportunities for our state.  Over the past five years Rhode Island T. F. Green International Airport has experienced significant growth in the number of nonstop routes and airlines at PVD and we are hope to attract more airlines and non-stop routes in the future.

Recent growth in airport cargo activity also provides Rhode Island with exciting opportunities to create jobs and income for the city and state, all of which have been planned for as part of the airport’s Master Plan, developed collaboratively with the input of local stakeholders and officials. This master plan envisions $850M of infrastructure investment in the next 19 years.

In addition to news about Rhode Island’s main commercial airport, our new website also features individual pages for each of the state’s five general aviation airports, recognizing that each airport is as unique as the communities they serve.  RIAC’s commitment to state airports in Westerly, Newport, Block Island, Quonset and North Smithfield is also demonstrated by our strategic business plan to implement $98 million in capital investments at state airports over the next ten years. These efforts are intended to improve GA Airport facilities while also improving the efficiency of airport operations to improve long term sustainability.

As you peruse our new website, we hope the information will help you enjoy a comfortable, hassle-free travel experience.  As our nation and the globe continue to contend with an ongoing pandemic entering 2022, RIAC will remain vigilant in continuing to foster safe travels and essential cargo connections to provide vital supplies to our state and region no matter what challenges we face together.

In short, RIAC is committed to the fiscal and operational activities needed to have our state airports’ recognized as the BEST airports in the country, and we thank all of our local, state and federal partners, as well as all the travelers that honor us all by choosing to “Fly RI.”

With the support of our state and community, we know the future can be brighter than ever before as airlines recognize Rhode Island as a growing and attractive destination for visitors as well as the airport of choice for so many of those who prefer the “easy” airport to start their safe travels!

Warm best wishes,
