Salve Regina University today unveiled a comprehensive multi-media display presence at T.F. Green Airport as part of a 5-year partnership with Clear Channel Airports, the world’s leading marketer of airport advertising.

The installations include a 40-inch LCD screen in the north baggage claim area that will feature continually updated university messaging and communications presented in a digital loop, as well as a 32-square-foot tension fabric display in the south baggage claim area. Also in the works is placement of a fully rigged university sailing team boat on the airport’s upper departure level.

The airport displays are part of Salve Regina’s ongoing marketing efforts to build public awareness of the university’s academic programs and to highlight the institution’s impact in the region and beyond. All content for the displays is being produced by the university relations office with a slant toward interesting facts about Rhode Island as well as notable achievements involving Salve Regina’s students, faculty and historic campus.

“I am very excited by this new opportunity to showcase the work and success of our University community as well as to celebrate some of the facts that make Rhode Island the place it is,” said Jane Gerety, RSM, Salve Regina’s president. “With nearly four million passengers annually, TF Green has provided a wonderful venue for us to both inform and entertain those who are waiting in the reception and baggage claim areas. It truly is a unique collaboration and we have many new forms of content planned for the duration of our partnership.”

“We are pleased to partner with one of Rhode Island’s finest institutes for higher education,” said Peter Frazier, Interim President & CEO, Rhode Island Airport Corporation.  “Salve Regina is rich in history and its dynamic displays will certainly enhance the visitor experience at T.F. Green Airport.”

The media project bolsters Salve Regina’s presence in Greater Providence. Last fall, the university opened its 12,000-square-foot Center for Adult Education on Metro Center Boulevard in Warwick, where classes are offered year-round.

Founded by the Sisters of Mercy in 1947, Salve Regina is a private, coeducational university offering a comprehensive and innovative liberal arts education in the Catholic tradition that fosters the development of each student’s distinct and individual talents. Accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, the University enrolls more than 2,600 undergraduate and graduate students from across the U.S. and around the world.

Clear Channel Airports is a division of one of the world’s largest outdoor advertising companies, Clear Channel Outdoor Holdings, Inc.
